Coming late November is the Abu Dhabi GP; a weekend packed of fun for F1 racing enthusiasts. The Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Etihad Airways Grand is the Middle East’s biggest international sporting event this month.
The 2015 FIA Formula One season ends in Abu Dhabi; the Grand Prix will host the final race on the Yas Marina circuit, a 5.554 Km track located on the beautiful Yas Island. The race will last 55 laps on a circuit with 21 twists and turns that will offer a multitude of high-speed experiences for spectators.
What is unique about the GP Yas Marina Circuit is that it is a twilight race—thanks to a powerful lightning system. Spectators can enjoy attention-grabbing brightened cars maneuvering in the illuminated racetrack; this is definitely an interesting spin added to the show.
Formula 1 is coming back to Abu Dhabi on November 27-29 weekend. Therefore, if you are going to attend, it is time to buy your tickets today, as they are expected to sell out fast; and if you are a non-resident, it is time to plan your trip too. Hospitality options are already running out.
Tickets for the Abu Dhabi GP can be bought at the www.yasmarinacircuit.com website (click here). For enquires, feel free to contact 800 927 (YAS) or +971 (0) 2 659 9800 if calling from outside the UAE.
Last year, Hamilton claimed the world title with Abu Dhabi victory! The GP race of Abu Dhabi was decisive, less so this year, as Lewis Hamilton – driving for Mercedes – who is 1st in Formula One World Championship has already wrapped up the title at the U.S. Grand Prix (on 25 October). He is now a three-time world champion (2008, 2014, and 2015). However, the race for the second place is still on!
Nico Rosberg (also driving for Mercedes) held off world champion Lewis Hamilton to secure one-two at Mexican Grand Prix (1st of November). Next stop is the Brazilian Grand Prix in Sao Paulo (13-15 Nov) where these drivers will once again outduel each other in the race. Nico beat Lewis last season on the circuit in a title-deciding Showdown in Abu Dhabi; can he do it again? It may not be for the championship, but Nico is sure to want to secure his second place in the driver’s championship over Sebastian Vettel for Ferrari.
Mercedes’ teammates (Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton) are likely to offer a great performance for their fans in Abu Dhabi; Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One Team has secured another constructors’ crown and clinched a consecutive drivers’ title for Mercedes-Benz, but will still try to dominate the race and beat 4-time World Champion Sebastian Vettel—driving for Ferrari –or drivers like F1 rising star Bottas for Williams.
The countdown to the race day in Abu Dhabi has begun. Just as exciting as the Abu Dhabi GP race in the Yas Marina circuit will be the after-race entertainment program. This year’s Abu Dhabi’s F1 after race concert features “Live music and DJs” … as well as other entertainers.
One can expect…
