The 2015 DWC at Abu Dhabi – What to Expect The Desert Warrior Challenge (DWC) at Yas Marina Circuit, Abu Dhabi, will be the most challenging obstacle course yet, say the organizers. Participants are going to have to bring their true Inner Warrior to make it to the finish line. With plenty of on and off track action, Warriors can expect to run, crawl, jump, and climb their way through unfamiliar obstacles. ‘Calf-cramping sand obstacles’ and an all-new ‘Marine madness’ section will be the highlights of the course.

DubaiBlog, as one of the media sponsors of the event, will keep you informed on this exciting and incredibly challenging event; the DWC is something not to be missed! The course is designed to test even the most hardcore warriors wanting to compete. Participants can choose between different completion options.

ULTIMATE Warrior – This is a Competitive Race; consists of 10+km with up to 24 Obstacles. It is a timed contest. Entrant fee: 515AED ($142) is the price prior to 23/4. The day of the event, warriors will be charged 625AED ($170).

DESERT Warrior – The MAIN EVENT – The D.W.C- consists of 10+km with up to 24 Obstacles. Entrant fee: 435AED ($120) is the price prior to 23/4. The day of the event 530AED ($144) will be charged.

FEARLESS Warrior – It is a shortened version of the main obstacle course: 5+km with up to 14 Obstacles. Entrant fee: 385AED ($105) is the price prior to 23/4. The day of the event, participants will be charged 460AED ($126).

Warriors can take part to the races as an individual or as a team. Those who have yet to sign up to join in are asked to do so today. Again, those that register prior to April 23 will pay less for the ticket to partake in one of the events scheduled on the 24th.

Spectators are welcome to come out and observe the race, cheer on the warriors or get involved as volunteers. There are many roles needed to be filled, such as Course Marshaling, Obstacle Officials, and help at hydration stations for the warriors by handing water throughout the course.
